Experience
I recently went on a agri and farming tour at Vinh Kim market and it was a unique experience. Upon arriving at the market, I was able to explore the different traditional foods, learn about the culture and history of the local people and take in the beauty of the lush and diverse landscapes.
I was then taken to a local ferry station where I was able to relax and take a sampan journey to a nearby floating fish farm. I had the chance to interact with the local fishermen and even join in on the fun by casting my own net! After trying my luck with fishing, I was able to enjoy a freshly fried fish with rice paper.
The next stop on the tour was to a neighboring province for a coconut farm exploration. I talked with regional farmers and enjoyed some coconut water. I was even able to take a cruise by sampan to an island and learn about the bird nest farming and even have the chance to taste some bird nests.
The tour ended with a local delicacy lunch consisting of chicken and organic vegetables from the nearby farms. I even had the opportunity to teach local children some English in their cultural house. All in all, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience and one I would definitely recommend.
